Written Submissions

• All written submissions should include the normal What, When, Where, Written By - and maybe if you are so inclined Why. (if there are some details you don't want published, then just let us know, but we do need the context to see where it fits best.)It's not always so obvious after all.
• Text must be supplied in a digital format. Email is good. Ideally supply in Word as an attachment, although any format eg. OpenOffice we can read. Please also paste your text into the body of the email as a back up. Don't bother formatting it with such niceties as bold, underline or centring as our design program will totally obliterate that. Just send it nice, clean and Left Hand Justified. Times or Geneva is always easy to read. We may edit your words to tidy up grammar etc, so don't get a hump about it, but we will endeavour to keep the warmth and gist you were trying to portray. It's just what editors do.

Images

• In the first instance for assessment send by email as lo-res jpeg's. If Hi-res images are subsequently required the maximum size that any one email can be received is 10Mb. But honestly, even that's too big.
• Hi-res Images at 300dpi resolution should be sent as a Jpeg; or Photoshop TIFF and/or EPS - preferably processed as CMYK. We do not currently accept RAW files.
• If you send a CD of images please do not expect it back. Always send a copy. Remember its 300dpi resolution. Please supply captions too.
• Prints and photographs not accompanied with a self addressed stamped envelope will not be returned unless you send with vouchers for beer or vodka. Images may be uploaded to our FTP site, and this is our preferred option. Please call/email for details. We can download images from your site or online gallery if required, as long as resolution is sufficient.
• We do not accept contributions on slide film. That era ended in 2003. Come on!
